Water Supply
This project delivers clean, reliable water to remote Lao villages. By building a sustainable supply system, we will improve health, reduce disease, and empower communities for a brighter future.
This project addresses the critical water scarcity in rural Laos, where remote upland communities often rely on contaminated streams and unreliable wells. This daily reality leads to high rates of preventable waterborne diseases, particularly among children, and places a heavy burden on women and girls who spend hours fetching water instead of attending school or engaging in economic activities.
Our solution is to construct a durable, low-maintenance, gravity-fed water system. The project will protect a natural spring source, build a storage reservoir, and install a distribution network of pipes leading to centrally located taps throughout the village. This ensures easy and equitable access for all families, the local school, and the health post.
Beyond infrastructure, we will establish and train a Village Water User Committee to manage the system's operation and maintenance. This community-led approach guarantees sustainability and empowers residents to take ownership of their own vital resource, securing better health, education, and economic resilience for generations to come.
